Hi, Sheila, I’m not a Dribbell, but I was trying to contact Lily Zenios’ family as I think her mother was my grandmother’s sister. See ‘Geni’.
Thanks,

Hi Everyone,
My name is ANSELL DRIBBELL, and my brother is ANTHONY (Tony).
Our father was Johnny Dribbell, married to Gertie Chezan.
Johnny was one of 6 children from Ansell & Leah. There was Hannah, who died just 18 months old, then Henry (Harry), Percy, Julia and Bernie.
Harry had 2 sons Ashley and Geoffrey, Jule had one daughter, Leonie, and Johnny had us 2. Percy and Bernie had no children.
Going backards, Jeanette or Janey, we knew as Auntie Jinney, had 3 children. Harry Waterman, Bessie, and Louis.
Harry had 2 daughters Jeanette and Christine, Bessie had 1 daughter Sara, and Louis had Joseph and Ian.
i don’t know if you know, but one of our ancestors was Cornelius Van Drebell, the man credited as inventing the first submarine, for King James of England, in 1600 and something.
Yesterday, Saturday, I received a letter from Joe Waterman. This is the first contact for over 50 years. AMAZING !! If you pick this up Joe, I will answer you.
Please keep this going, as I think that this is wonderful.

Hi Shiela,
As point Ansell ,Leah, Hannah, Henry and a Daisy Dribbell are all buried in Plashett’s Cemetery in East Ham. Both my brother and I go there each year to visit.
My mother Gertie Dribbell, has her sister buried in Marlow Road. So to is Percy Dribbell and his wife Mina.
We certainly knew of 2 Lila Dribbells, and a Marie from memory.
Also as a point, my brother Anthony, has a middle name of Morris, spelt the same way.
Ashley & Geoffrey Dribbell, are still alive, as is Leonie, who now lives in Spain.
Obviously, my brother and I are still alive. I never married, so have no children. My brother has 2 sons – Lee and Paul Dribbell. Lee has 2 sons, Greg and Andrew Dribbell, living in Scotland. Paul has one son Rory.
There was also a Dribbell who was Mayor of Westminster some years back, and I think he owned a large Wastepaper Company.
Regards,
ANSELL xx
